Don Messing
Don is the owner of No Limits Personal Training, a personal training facility he opened in 2000. He chose the name “No Limits” because he is passionate about living life to the fullest every day, constantly trying to improve every area of his life. Simply put, it’s a
philosophy he lives by and Don wakes up every day excited and grateful for the opportunity he has to help people achieve their goals through a fitness lifestyle.
Don’s bodybuilding career began in 1998, and in 2010 he competed in four competitions in two different classes: Masters and Open Light Heavyweight. Don’s credentials are extensive. He is certified through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and has been a certified trainer since 2000. In October of 2010, New York Strength, Inc. awarded Don the 2010 Master Trainer of the Year Award for his achievements in personal training. Among other certifications noted below, Don has achieved an Adventure Fitness Certificate, Master of the Art of Nutritional Meal Design, and a Second Degree Black Belt from the International Tae Kwon Do Association.
Formerly the Fitness Director of Deerfield Spa, an elite full service spa located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Don traveled throughout the United States between 1998 and 2004 as a corporate trainer and motivational speaker. Prior to this, Don owned and operated the D.M. Martial Arts Academy for seven years. In operating this Academy, Don’s status as a head instructor for the International Tae Kwon Do Association allowed him to teach Boxing, Kickboxing, and Chang Hon Tae Kwon Do.
Don is a certified USA Triathlon Coach and served as the Head Triathlon Coach in 2006 for Team in Training, an organization focused on raising money for Leukemia and Lymphoma. Don’s triathlon experience is impressive. He has competed in over 20 triathlons, a majority of which have been Olympic distance and some sprint distance events for training purposes. His longest race was the Ironman 70.3 triathlon where he finished 9th in his class. The most recent triathlon Don competed in occurred on September 19, 2010, a sprint distance event in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

Additionally, Don has competed in over 40 running races, one marathon, and three 100 mile (Century) bike races. Recreationally, Don loves to kayak, snowboard and mountain bike; and he competed in his first Over the Falls race in 2004.
